It's ok Maybe we think far too much for our own good. My brain hurts.

Btw.... if anyone notices and wonders. I decided to edit and/or delete some of my comments. It wasn't that I was asked or that I felt that I was out of line.
More a matter that I went away and it hit me -- I'm NOT in this game any more, so why am I so concerned about things? LOL I guess it's simply that old habits are hard to break. I spent three years worrying about that man and about his fans. And yeah, I screwed up more often than not. But I'm used to worrying and fussing and trying to fix things that aren't mine to fix.
SO the next time I do it, will someone please slap me? I'm NOT in this any more and I need to stop caring who tells the truth or not and who plays what politics with what fan or whether that popstar is happy or successful or not!!!! *that last is to remind self*
*deep breath*
Okay, I think that I feel better now. LOL

That is it, isn't it? No one really knows that. I think, whenever there is a place such as a Message Board or chatroom, no matter where it is; it is important that everyone understands who is responsible for what, who has what roles and what the guidelines are.

Hugs Laurie for managing to say it so well!
LOL at Lain, thanks so much for making me smile
oh and just what shape is that soap??? On second thoughts, I don't think I really want to know
Dyan I will not tell you to stop or slap you!!! Your insight is so valuable! I appreciate you sharing it, hell we don't always agree, but it enables me (and others) to look at a bigger picture. Of course, if you need to take a back seat then I truly respect that!

I mean everywhere we join Amanda! We supply private info to join any messageboards etc...who ends up having access to that info? Moderators, site administrators etc. Or do they just get a list of names/user names...don't know, just thinking out loud here.

I understand your concern, it's kind of a snowballing logic thing, isn't it? I mean, if they aren't being clear who is doing what job, it's easy to begin to wonder who is exactly seeing your info and what are they doing with it that you don't know about? If they are ok hiding/not telling about who has what exact role on the site...it's not hard to imagine them hiding more... @_@
And the scary part is that i wouldn't think the FC would do that, either would you Barb i am guessing, yet here we are wondering and the fact we *do* wonder means it's no longer in the realm of "oh they'd NEVER do that!" to "Hmmmm perhaps they would" and that's worrying :/

*nods*
i agree wholeheartedly! The idea of unofficial or unlisted moderators makes me nervous because they have the capacity to cause a lot of damage without ever having to be directly responsible for their actions - there would never be any "proof" of who did what! @_@
Personally, i am unimpressed if there IS actually anyone out there at the fanclub being a "ghost" mod because (this is gonna sound snooty and smug but i don't care ) i always try to make it clear what moderator actions i do and if i screw up...heh not if usually when LOL...then i don't hide from the fact it was me who did it and try my best to apologize, make things right *wry s*

...just adding to my previous thought about taking mod responsibility, of course Laurie does the same with her actions, always responsible and honest! And the same goes for the mods here, cheers to that!

I always get the impression that things are said with the thought that somehow Darren might be reading it, which I think is completely delusional.
